• School search preferences, such as location, distance, learning model, priorities, transportation needs, religious preference, special learning needs, and other school fit criteria

• Saved schools, shortlisted schools, profile views, inquiries, tour requests, consultation requests, or provider connection requests

• Notes, messages, questions, or other information you choose to submit

• Documents you choose to upload, if document upload features are made available

• Communication preferences, including whether you opt into email reminders

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:

School Path does not make official TEFA / ESA eligibility, funding, admission, or enrollment decisions. Any TEFA / ESA-related information provided through the Service is informational only.

4. Sensitive and Child-Related Information

Some information you provide may be sensitive, including information about children, learning needs, disability-related preferences, IEP / 504-related information, therapy needs, household income range, or other support needs.

We use this information to provide and improve the Service, support school discovery and matching, respond to your requests, and help families evaluate educational options.

We do not sell this information.

We will not share parent contact information or child-specific sensitive preferences with a school, provider, consultant, or community partner unless you request follow-up, submit an inquiry, schedule a tour, ask to connect, request a consultation, or otherwise direct us to share that information.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

5.1 With Your Direction or Consent

We may share information when you ask us to do so, such as when you request information from a school, schedule a tour, request a consultation, submit a provider inquiry, or choose to connect with a school, provider, consultant, or community partner.

In those cases, we may share contact information and relevant school preference information needed to respond to your request.

5.2 With Schools, Providers, Consultants, or Community Partners

We may share parent contact information and selected child or school preference information with a school, provider, consultant, or community partner only when you request follow-up, submit an inquiry, schedule a tour, ask to connect, request a consultation, or otherwise direct us to share that information.

5.3 With Service Providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers who help us operate the Service, such as hosting providers, analytics tools, email tools, CRM systems, customer support tools, security tools, and other technology providers.

These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us.

5.4 For Legal, Safety, or Security Reasons

We do not share personally identifying parent or child information with schools or providers unless the parent chooses to connect with that school or provider.

6. Analytics, Cookies, and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand usage, improve functionality, troubleshoot issues, and measure outreach effectiveness.

We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics and PostHog, to understand how visitors and users interact with School Path, improve the user experience, identify product issues, and measure the effectiveness of campaigns and outreach.

These tools may collect information such as:

• Pages visited

• Device and browser information

• Approximate location

• Referring pages or campaign source

• Clicks, form interactions, navigation paths, and other usage activity

• Search activity and interactions with school profiles

• Session-level behavior, such as where users encounter friction or abandon a flow

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, child names, uploaded documents, passwords, or sensitive learning needs information to Google Analytics or PostHog.

Where possible, we configure analytics tools to limit the collection of directly identifying information and to avoid capturing sensitive form inputs.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features of the Service may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

7. Communications

We may send service-related communications as part of operating the Service, such as account messages, inquiry confirmations, requested follow-ups, important updates, or security notices.

If you opt into email reminders, we may send helpful school visit reminders, application deadline reminders, enrollment reminders, and related school search resources.

Text / SMS reminders, if offered, require separate consent.
